What We Do

We look after and re home homeless and lost dogs of all ages

and types. We lavish care and attention on them all.

We are proud of the fact that within a short while the sad,

lost and frightened dogs learn, often for the first time in their lives,

that there are gentle, kind and loving humans around them in whom

they can trust. This, together with the balanced food intake,

makes their coats glossy once more and their muscles become strong

walking and running in our green fields and paddocks.

All the dogs receive basic training under the guidance of the manager

who is qualified at grade 1 with the British Institute of Professional dog trainers.

Everyone at St Francis uses gentle training methods.

We do not shout at dogs or use force of any kind.

We offer a matching service to people who need to rehome dogs with people who

  need new canine companions

We neuter, vaccinate, identity chip, worm and treat for fleas all the dogs in our care.

As we know very little or nothing about their past experiences we cannot

place any of our dogs in families with children under the age of 7 years.
